PHASE 1
OCT. 2020-JUN. 2021Between October 2020 and May 2021, the three partners invite internationally renowned choreographers as well as emerging but talented ones to create a set of MicroDances.
10 choreographers created in Italy with Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto dancers: Angelin Preljocaj, Francesca Lattuada, Roberto Zappalà, Fernando Melo, Norge Cedeno Raffo, Saul Daniele Ardillo, Roberto Tedesco, Hèlias Tur-Dorvault, Phillippe Kratz and Ina Lesnakowski.
In Belgium, Les Halles de Schaerbeek created 2 of them: Pietro Marullo and Diego Tortelli.
The Greek National Opera Ballet produced 9 MicroDances, whose choreographers will be soon announced.
PHASE 2
OCT. 2021-DEC. 2021The MicroDances repertoire will be presented in each city in theater/exhibition places by professional dancers belonging to Aterballetto and to Greek National Opera Ballet.
PHASE 3
JUL. 2021-MAY 2022The MicroDances repertoire will be then transmitted to young dancers of the three cities in order to amplify, repeat and multiply the project in urban areas.
The re-enactment process will be preceded by an audition with the specific aim of composing the 3 casts of young performers (July-Athens; November-Reggio Emilia; December-Bruxelles).
Then, at the beginning of 2022 in Reggio Emilia and Athens the masterclasses to reenact the repertoire will be held.
Consequently, each partner, once re-created the repertoire, will organize a new staging into urban spaces in spring 2022 in each of the three cities.
